Army History Research Grants

Applications for the 2016-17 round of research grants will be welcome from January until the closing date of Friday, 12 February 2016.

Potential applicants are encouraged to read and take note of the material available here on the website, namely the following documents: Advice to ApplicantsFrequently Asked Questions and information on the Funding Agreement for recipients.

Hundreds of diverse and interesting projects have been awarded financial funding in previous Financial Years. Many of these have subsequently resulted in well regarded publications.

If wondering whether a particular research proposal is suitable under the auspices of this Scheme, applicants are advised to pay special notice to the list of previous supported topics which will give a strong indication of the type of projects favoured by the assessment committee.

Applications

Application forms are currently available to download as .doc files which can then be printed, filled out, and mailed to the address below or saved electronically and submitted to ahu.enquiries [at] defence.gov.au 

There are two forms you will need: 

The main form is to be filled out by the applicant; and 
the referee form is to be filled out by the referee.
