Kapooka Military Area security arrangements aim to protect personnel, prevent theft of and damage to Defence assets and infrastructure and prevent unauthorised access to the base.
To enter the KMA you will require a Defence Identification Pass. If you do not have an access pass, a member from the area you are visiting will need to meet you at the front gate and escort you whilst you are visiting the base.
Issue of a new or replacement Defence Identity card is carried out by the KMA Pass Office. The pass office is available between the hours of 7:30am and 2.00pm.
For passes outside of these times an appointment is required by contacting 02 6933 8560.
The Everyman's Welfare Service runs the Everyman's Recreation Centre on base.
The Everyman's Welfare Service runs the Everyman's Recreation Centre on base, like on most large Army bases, where soldiers can spend free time reading, talking, playing games, accessing the internet or simply having a cup of tea.
Everymans staff often visit recruits during training in the field with a free cup of tea or cordial and a biscuit. These services are free although donations are gratefully accepted (and willingly provided by soldiers right across the Army as a way of saying thanks!)
