Royal Australian Army Educational Corps

Royal Australian Army Educational Corps
The role of the Royal Australian Army Educational Corps is to support the Army by shaping Army's education and training with frameworks and expertise that continually develops soldiers in their current and future roles.

The Royal Australian Army Educational Corps (RAAEC) is responsible for supporting Army across Australia through command, leadership and management; educational best practice; training systems; synthetic learning environments; teaching English as a second language support; and strategic education. All RAAEC positions are aligned to these corps functional areas. The RAAEC is a significant education and training enabler for Army.

RAAEC is made up entirely of commissioned officers in the specialist service officer stream. The majority of the RAAEC personnel are civil qualified teachers; however, additional personnel have been laterally recruited to support some key specialist areas within corps functional domains.

The motto of the Royal Australian Army Educational Corps is ‘Through awareness, strength’.
