141st Signal Squadron

141st Signals Squadron (141 Sig Sqn) is a Reserve Signals Squadron providing Communication and Information System support to the 11th Brigade.

The role of 141st Signals Squadron is to provide Communication and Information Systems support to the 11th Brigade to enable effective command and control of deployed forces assigned to the 11th Brigade. 

With its headquarters at Lavarack Barracks in Townsville, the Squadron also has personnel based in Brisbane, Rockhampton and Mackay. 

Members of the squadron carry out a wide range of tasks associated with the provision of battlefield communications, such as radio communications, Field Local Area Network and satellite systems. Many of the technical skills gained by members of the Squadron can be recognised in the civilian workplace. 

Members of 141 Sig Sqn have recently deployed on operations and exercises in the Asia Pacific region. 

141 Sig Sqn traces its history to the 4th Signals Regiment and celebrates its Birthday on 01 Dec. 

The motto of 141 Sig Sqn is ‘Certa Cito’ which is Latin for ‘Swift and Sure’.
