How can I commence work as a SERCAT 3 member?
SERCAT 3 members can be employed on an AE959 (previously DA26) contract. The unit seeking to employ you will complete the AE959 paperwork and seek approval for you to commence work.
Can I claim the Health Support Allowance (HSA)?
The introduction of the Defence Regulation 2016 enables SERCAT 3 members that have completed the minimum 20 days of effective service during the financial year to apply for the Health Support Allowance.
To apply simply contact the unit currently employing you on an AE959 (previously DA26), or if your contract has ceased Contingentworkforce.army@defence.gov.au for the application form.
