There is nothing unusual about change in the Australian Army. Army has been adapting to new circumstances on the battlefield and at home for more than a century. Major changes and programs have and are continuing to impact on Army's people, training, force structure, equipment and culture.
At the same time, as major operations draw down, it is essential that the operational experience of this generation of soldiers is retained and incorporated into the training and development of the soldiers of the next generation and into the future.
