The Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide (RCDVS) laid bare the challenges faced by members of Army and identified the reforms needed to better support those who serve. Over the past 2 years, Army has taken significant action in response to the Royal Commission’s recommendations.
RCDVS: Army’s Actions outlines Army’s 5 reform themes and highlights how changes are being embedded into Army’s systems, policy, training, and leadership:
- Build resilience and mental readiness.
- Support wellbeing through continued service.
- Embed reform and continuous improvement.
- Brain injury response.
- Apply response into doctrine.
Ideas, opportunities for improvement, positive outcomes, and suggestions on areas where Army can do more can be submitted to army.rcdvs.feedback@defence.gov.au.
